Space Facts Explorer

Space Facts Explorer is a fun and educational app built for a 9-year-old space enthusiast on top of React Native, Expo. The app delivers 3 new space facts daily along with 1 space riddle, making space exploration engaging and interactive for kids.

Owned the entire process from project restructuring to App Store deployment, including development, design assets, builds, and compliance fixes.

**Key Achievements:**
- Extracted app code from Rork (which required a paid subscription) and rebuilt it into an Expo React Native project by manually migrating files, saving the client unnecessary costs
- Added features for daily space facts and riddles
- Used Expo EAS Build to deploy to the App Store, working with both my EAS account and the client’s Apple account
- Designed app icon, splash screen, showcase screenshots, and metadata using Figma and Canva
- Overcame the limitation of not having a Mac or iPhone by creating screenshots with mock iPhone/iPad templates, adapting Android captures into Apple-style previews
- Managed multiple App Store rejections, fixing issues to comply with Apple’s guidelines
- Successfully published the app—my first full App Store deployment

**Impact:** Turned a child’s idea into a live iOS app, enabling him to share it with friends and family. Delivered end-to-end deployment, design, and publishing support, ensuring the app met Apple’s strict requirements.
